Brunvoll Volda serves as the headquarters and primary production facility for Brunvoll’s integrated propulsion systems (previously Scana Propulsion)
Managing Director: Hallvard Pettersen
Steeped in tradition, Brunvoll Volda, formerly Volda Mekaniske Verksted and Scana Volda, celebrated its centenary in 2013. Volda Mekaniske Verksted started life as an engine factory and later expanded to include shipbuilding and the production of propellers and gears. Shipbuilding came to an end in the late 1980s, when the last hull was delivered. Since 1996, gears and propulsion systems have been the most important products. The company was acquired by Scana Industrier in 1998, and recently acquired by Brunvoll in March 2017.
